Otto Wilhelm Nilsson, 30

The first piece of film music I can recall hearing was Basil Poledouris' wonderful score for Free Willy. The main theme used to send shivers down my spine (and still does today) and it made me feel very strongly for the character of Willy and his human friend Jesse. My fascination with film music though began at the age of 7 when I saw Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade together with my father. That was the first time I really understood that a person had sat down and written the fantastic music I was hearing. The distinctive themes that Williams employs in that film are just marvellous and also very effective. Since then, film music has always been and always will be close to my heart.
